Ashok Hall Girls Residential School in Majkhali, Uttarakhand was founded in 1993 by Mr. B.K. Birla and Dr. (Mrs.) Sarala Birla. Set on a sprawling 25-acre campus amidst the magnificent Kumaon hills, the school is known for its commitment towards excellence. An English-medium school affiliated to the Council for Indian School Certificate Examinations, Ashok Hall Girls' Residential School comprises classes IV to XII. The academic year at Ashok Hall Girls' Residential School consists of two terms:
March to July, with a three-week break in August
August to December, with a winter break in December
The winter break commences in the last week of December. Students of classes X and XII report to school in February for the ICSE and ISC board examinations respectively. Students promoted to Classes X and XII report to the school in the first week of March and students of Classes IV to IX report back in the third week of March.
Senior secondary students have the option of selecting either Science, Commerce or Humanities.
A student's academic progress is determined by her performance in monthly tests, half-yearly and final examinations. Detailed subject reports, Housemaster's reports and Medical reports are sent to parents to apprise them about the overall progress of their wards.
