MES Raja International Residential School was established in 1974 under the Muslim Society. Its campus is spread over 15 acres of serene and scenic rural landscape having expansive playgrounds for outdoor games, facilities for indoor games, karate practice and gymnasium.

Our aim is to impart quality education regardless of caste, class, creed, race or gender. Great emphasis is given to formation of character, self-confidence, co-operation, leadership and responsibility. The school is affiliated to Central Board of Secondary Education, Delhi. Boarding

Hostel

There are five hostels to accommodate the students. Utmost care is taken for the comfortable stay at these hostels. Besides wardens, two tutors are in charge of each dormitory in a hostel.Girls and Primary School children have hostel facilities at a separate compound which has a spacious playing ground.

Mess

Vegetarian and Non-Vegetarian food are served, Care is being taken to serve well-balanced diet at the mess. During Ramzan, food is served for those observing the fast as per the special timings of the month.

Gym

Along with the intellectual development of the students, the school cares to maintain healthy growth of the students. The school health studio is fit with all kinds of equipments to make out a healthy body. All the students can access this facility under the strict supervision of the trainer.

Infirmary

The school infirmary is open for all those students who are affected with diseases . Qualified and registered Doctor and nurse are appointed to provide general care to the sick students.

Playground

The vast and spacious play ground provides ample opportunities to the students for various games. The major events like All Kerala M.E.S Athletic meet, All Kerala MES Schools Football tournament, Sahodaya Interschool competitions, CBSE cluster competitions take place in the School Ground.

Basketball Court

School basket ball court is an admirable one. The court is built with modern technologies and provided with fiber boards. School gives training to students in this game under 16 and under 19 categories. Well qualified trainer’s service is provide to train the students every day after the class hours on a regular basis.

Academics

With the broad frame work of the school curriculum, a multidimensional approach makes the learning effective and enjoyable.

The Montessori level is child centered and activity based. The cognitive processes are made more meaningful by encouraging the children to “hear, see and do” through the play way method. This makes learning an enjoyable experience and provides a strong foundation for further development. Progress is to be evaluated through a continuous assessment programme.

The primary school students are gradually introduced to a more formal pattern of learning. Syllabus provides scope for originality and creativity, while emphasis is laid in understanding of the subject matter. Progress is determined by the Work Sheet Assignments given every month

The school follows a three-language formula for Std-I to VII, offering English, Malayalam and Hindi. From Std. 1 onwards, students will have to learn Hindi as their second language, in which case Malayalam becomes a compulsory third language.

Religious Instruction and study of Arabic is compulsory for Muslim Students.
