Besides this, we also provide a balanced and accessible programme of extra-curricular activities, student counsellor for students with particular problems or for informal consultation and advice,  home based boarding environment, excellent care and  commitment for improving levels of confidence, inquiry and communication as a student moves through the school. These experiences will ultimately help them to be happy and successful both at school and beyond.

We  take  pride to call our school  the best residential school because we have been rated among the top 4 Residential Schools in Hyderabad by the survey conducted by “ The Times of India” dated 29th September 2015. This is because we offer our students more than just a place to live in while they are away from home; it gives them an opportunity to thrive in their work and also in their friendships. The most important aspect of our boarding programme is the care and support given to the children. We ensure that each student that boards at St. Peter’s is given the opportunity to work to the best of their ability by offering them further support, encouragement and individual care after the school hours.

Our boarding programme gives our students more than just the chance to spend additional time than they are offered during the school day to work on their studies. It also inspires and encourages them to grow by presenting them with opportunities to grasp and interests to pursue which will, in time, transform them into mature, confident and respectable adults who are prepared for the future.

We are also proud to acclaim that we have been awarded with the renowned ISA award (2014-2017) eulogized by BRITISH COUNCIL. The ISA is the benchmark that accredits our school as having an outstanding level of support for nurturing global citizenship with enriched teaching, learning and implementing international activities. Recently, we provided an opportunity to our students to explore a new educational and cultural environment through Teacher Exchange Program” under the British Council. The teacher assistant named Ms. Rebecca from Manchester, England came to our school. This gave our wards an experience to interact with teacher who was from different culture and education systems contributing to our educational philosophy and programs and, in turn, be challenged by their knowledge, expertise and ideas.

We believe that all the students are obliged to gain practical experience in the course of their academic education. The concept of Clubs is seen as an opportunity for adaptation to life in the group, forming good life long habits and cultivating a social spirit. Club activities and field trips supplement academics and give the students practical training which they require in day to day life. In our school various clubs like Dramatic, Yoga, Eco, health and wellness activities are organized giving an opportunity to the students to display their talents.

Today learning makes greater sense as a lifelong process and we realize the importance of developing a 'quest for learning' in children. St. Peter’s seeks to nurture this love for learning and provide children with opportunities to experience the joy of learning. To enable this, we have maximum 18 children in each primary class and in high school the student’s ratio is about 25 children per tutor.

The School organised a CBSE empanelled training and workshop for the professional development of the teachers. This will ensure that they are familiar with the latest modes of teaching. The school follows a Continuous and Comprehensive Evaluation, which refers to a system of school-based evaluation of the students that covers all aspects of students’ development. It emphasis on two fold objectives i.e. continuity in evaluation on one hand and assessment of board based learning and behavioural outcomes on the other.

In respect of non-academic curriculum, we also conduct many Co-curricular activities like sports competition, Debate, drama, music, story writing competition, Essay writing competition, recitation competition, collage making, quiz competition, Little chef and many more which helps in the development of various domains of mind and personality such as intellectual development, emotional development, social development, moral development and aesthetic development.

We conduct theme based morning assembly. This academic year 2015-16, we have theme related counties of the world where each class will be presenting and showcasing through skit, dance performance or by speech on the countries geographical location, history, culture, cuisine, art, literature and many more on a week basis which was already assigned and mentioned in the school calendar. Beside theme based assembly, we also celebrate St. Peter’s Day, Independence Day, teachers Day; children’s day, cultural night and many more occasions or events which brings lot of exuberance, enthusiasm and knowledge of its importance to celebrate.

St. Peter’s follows all the norms of being a residential school; it still in many ways is a day-school too. Students are encouraged to speak to their parents every day at fixed times and once a month, parents are entrusted with their wards for three days. Program

Academics

The core values of our School curriculum draws its strength, by keeping pace with the 21st century and the global trends of educational transformations, as well as keeping in view that India is an independent nation with a rich history, cultural diversity, and commitment to democratic values and general well-being. One of the basic aims of education is to nurture in the learner a sound mind and strong values driven character.

Learners should be educated to uphold the democratic values, respect the Rules of Law, and support humanitarian ideals; they should engage in healthy practices to be able to develop robust and healthy physique, learn how to think for themselves and be creative. We aim at nurturing responsible citizens with a sense of patriotism and a global perspective. In principle, education is a learning progression to help learners explore their innate capacity and talents as well as develop their potential to improve and enhance sustainability of their living environment.

The CBSE curriculum provides an adequate experience on the guiding principles of constitution which reflect a commitment to democracy and the values of equality, justice, freedom, concern for others well-being, secularism, respect for human dignity and human rights.

Learning to learn and the willingness to unlearn and relearn are important as means of responding to new situations in a flexible and creative manner. The curriculum emphasizes on the processes of constructing knowledge and provides the means and opportunities to enhance the child’s creative expression and the capacity for aesthetic appreciation.

Continuous and Comprehensive Evaluation is an education system newly introduced by Central Board of Secondary Education in India, for students of sixth to tenth grades. The main aim of CCE is to evaluate every aspect of the child during their presence at the school. This is believed to help reduce the pressure on the child during/before examinations as the student will have to sit for multiple tests throughout the year, of which no test or the syllabus covered will be repeated at the end of the year, whatsoever. The CCE method is claimed to bring enormous changes from the traditional chalk and talk method of teaching provided it is implemented accurately
